The text "A dream that came true" by Arnold Schwarzenegger is the author's own dreams and his philosophy of being a winner.
In this autobiographical report Arnold Schwarzenegger deals with his career as a body-builder and an American businessman.
He was born in a small town near Graz, Austria and emigrated to the USA in 1968 when he was 21.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, the only and main character seems to me to be a person who is self-determined to be a winner. He never loses sight of this goal until he has achieved it. Then he sets his next goal and uses all efforts to achieve this one. It's the philosophy of a winner as he calls it. When he fulfils his dream of going to America he learns the language first and goes to a business school next.
The text can be divided into 6 different parts:
First the introducing setting of his birth and youth, next his dreams, 3rd his wish to be a winner, 4th his success as a professional body-builder, 5th his emigration to America together with his wish to achieve his goals and last the never ending setting of new goals.
The author's message is that you can always achieve your dreams or wishes if you try with all your efforts step by step without being influenced by your surroundings.
My own view of the matter is that the author is right. But a lot
of people hinder themselves to achieve their dreams or visions because
they are too lazy and find too many excuses why they can't do the first
step and the next and the next until the final.
